Legal basis of Organ Transplantation in Korea is found in "Dissection and Preservation of Cadaver Act" (Law No. 1021. February 9. 1962).

Article 5.(Partial dismemberment of cadaver)
-to recover disability of the disabled, necessary part of cadaver may be extirpated-
